Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability
The Disability Royal Commission documented violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation on a scale the sector had long suspected and rarely confronted. This course takes the Commission's findings as its starting point and asks the practical question that follows: what has to change in the way workers, services and systems operate. It covers the settings where harm concentrates, the barriers that keep it hidden, the reporting obligations that now apply, and the organisational conditions that make abuse more or less likely.
