Understanding Structural Racism in Community Services

This course is built on a straightforward premise: racism is not primarily a problem of individual bad attitudes. It is a structural problem, embedded in the policies, institutions, professional norms, and everyday practices that shape how community services are designed, delivered, and experienced. Individual awareness is necessary, but it is not sufficient. Real change requires understanding how racism operates as a system, and developing the skills and commitments to disrupt it.
