Social Procurement and Community Benefit Approaches

This course introduces local government procurement staff and decision-makers to social procurement — using council's purchasing power to generate positive social, economic, and environmental outcomes for local communities. Participants will explore the policy framework for social procurement in Australia, learn how to embed community benefit clauses in contracts, and develop practical skills for measuring and reporting on social value.
